No you can't. Outside of faction interests, Best Buddies will also ask for favors from the player in the form of missions conducted for their benefit, often revealing more about themselves and their time in-country.

The role of this Buddy is to be your backup in combat; should you run out of health in the field, they will come and rescue you and help you defend yourself from enemies. If the player decides to assist his allies in Mike's bar, they will attempt to hold them off in the building, in which the player will be gunned down, regardless of how bravely he fights, and his friends' statuses are then listed as "missing".

After the player is informed by his new Best Buddy in Act II regarding the alliance of the factions, the other Buddies in the Marina Bar will not be seen again. It is then assumed that they were taken and ultimately killed in the end, despite their statuses being "alive". At the Landing Zone , when the player tries to retrieve the diamond case, he will see his Act II Best Buddy informing him that "everything is under control".

Soon, your other buddies from Act I will also approach you, ready to kill you. It is at this point that they all betray you, and the player is forced to either kil them, or take the case and run which is almost impossible, unless you are fast and smart. All of your Buddies are tough, and are very aggressive, determined to get out of the country alive. Alas, the player cannot fail his mission and let them win. Far Cry Wiki Explore.

I thought at the end of Act 1, all your first buddies Die if you chose to go to mikes and in act 2, the main mission gets you 3 buddies. I found 1 buddy at the Brewery, but I didn't know there was one at Sediko User Info: KingFox Bowa-Seko: At the Brewery and Sepoko. User Info: TheGoldenState. In response to Dynmitrave2, its not the game specific crash site I'm talking about, but rather the plane crash. Not sure what TheGoldenState is talking about with the Crash Site; not only is the Crash Site not in Leboa-Sako, but there are no buildings in which a captive buddy can be.

In Leboa-Sako, the buddies you must rescue will be in the three zones surrounding Pala that you didn't end up in after collapsing in Pala.

Buddy 2 Once you've escaped the Cease fire in Town, you'll be called by the driver of the Barge. He went to sink it by Marina's Bar, but he's been caught under fire. Once you've travelled to save him, and cleared the enemies from the Barge, you can enter the Barge, and talk to him. Once he's thanked you, you've made a second Buddy. Buddy 3 I'm very unsure about how you find this buddy. But supposedly they're unmissable throughout the story.

You'll have made a friend without even trying. If not, just head down to Marina's Bar, and just head up to anyone inside that you haven't met, and you'll have your friend. Buddy 4 Remembering that the whole Southern Territory map is split into 9 sections, just like the Northern map, head to the Bottom Centre part of the map, and head to the Brewery which is called the Brewery Co or something. This is a small town, similar to the Lumber Yard, and so on.

There's a Buddy held captivity here. No matter which mission you're working on, just head there and save the Buddy. Buddy 5 This final Buddy is luckily unmissable. So your worries of missing your last Buddy are gone. Just continue through the Faction missions, until eventually you go to the Headquarter of a Faction, and the Guard at the door is once again on his Phone.

He'll send you to a Town called Sediko. Head there, and save the Buddy from Captivity, and you'll be complete. The Northern Territory is slightly more tricky to save all Buddy's, because there are more of them, and it's a little less easier to save them all. But just remember to follow my guide, and keep checking your Buddy List on the Start menu throughout the Story Mode, just to check that you're still on course.

Hope I've helped. In playing through the northern map of Far Cry 2, i quickly saved all available buddies, having six in total. However, i soon noticed that one buddie no longer appears in the bar, having been replaced by the last buddie i saved at the plane crash site. Is there a way to get this buddy back so i can do their two buddy missions? I'm coming up to the point in the game where Mike's bar will be attacked and so this buddy will die.
