My mate from the Philipines has the coolest way of pronouncing "Ibanez", it's Ib-yan-ez with a short "i" sound like in "it". I pronounce "Sheehan", shee-uhn. And in an artical I read, Jaco's name is pronounced Jack-o. Different cultures have different ways of pronouncing words.
I suppose it's the same with brands. Hartke: "Hart-key" Schecter: "Sh-ec-ter" Warwick: "Wo short 'o' -ric" I've heard someone pronounce it War-Wick, maybe that is correct, but us Aussie's tend to say our words as quickly as possible. Pastorius -- sounds more italian then mexican :p. You got me there. Just how I say it I guess. I read something forever ago about behringer.
I'm amazed at how many people say the e in hartke, I never did : i've always read it as hark-teh only more composed, don't think ive ever had to say it outloud though. I say jaco jay-co because its just a nicer name then jacko. Aguilar seems to be the most varying one. I always say it agg-will-ar. I doubt I've ever said it out loud, but it's always been Ag-wee-lar in my head. It's probably for the best that I don't say it aloud.

Once he became known in the music world, a french guy who had heard his name but never seen it spelled it the French way in a letter, spelling it Jaco. If the word is from another language, such as brand name, it will be pronounced in its original language.
